Private Pilot Flight Requirements;14cfr 61.109
40 hours total flight time, including:
- 20 hours instruction from a CFI
- 3 hours instruction in last 60 days
- 3 hours cross-country instruction
- 3 hours instrument instruction
- 3 hours night instruction
- 10 hours solo
- 5 hours solo cross-country
Additional Requirements

1 cross-country flight of at least 100 nm

10 take-offs and full stop landings in the traffic pattern

3 legs with full stop landings, 1 leg at least 50 nm, straight line

3 full stop take0offs and landings in the traffic pattern at an airport with an operating Control Tower

Must pass written test, grade of 70% or better

Pass Third Class Airman's Physical Exam

Pass oral & flight test given by FAA examiner
